Hi friends,

My name is Kamryn Charlize. I'm a 21-year-old multimedia artist born and raised on Vancouver Island, and currently based in Vancouver. I've been creating for as long as I can remember — drawing, painting, exploring materials with curiosity and intention. I'm self-taught, and my practice continues to evolve as I continue to explore different mediums, including acrylics, oils, photography, poetry, and movement. I have just begun at Emily Carr University of Art + Design to deepen my practice as the artist I strive to become.

Art, for me, is not about precision or perfection - it is about presence. It’s a way of translating my inner world into form. Allowing the formless to take shape. Creating from an open mind allows my process to be intuitive and grounding. My work is often experimental, shifting across disciplines, but always rooted in a desire to express something honest and human.

Beyond creating , I’m passionate about fostering spaces where others can feel safe to create from within. Whether through facilitating art circles, engaging in community-based work or expressive therapy, I believe in art as a tool for connection, reflection, and healing. I’ve taught art for several years now, and it remains one of the most meaningful parts of my journey.
